Duo Lammi-Lempa

Finnish and Scandinavian vocal music
Soprano Hanna Lammi´s and pianist Tuuli Lempa´s concert repertoire consists of Finnish and Norwegian songs, including works by Grieg, Sibelius and Kuusisto. Their Scandinavian program also includes Finnish folksongs arranged by the composer and pianist Ralf Gothoni and even traditional Finnish pie recepies that have been composed to songs!The duo has commisioned a composition from the Norwegian composer Karstein Djupdal, who has been inspired by the Finnish national epos Kalevala. The songs by Djupdal had their premier in Bodø, Norway in October 2010.

The duo
Hanna Lammi and Tuuli Lempa have collaborated since 2005 and performed Scandinavian lied repertoire as well as contempory classical works. At the moment Lempa lives in Oslo, Norway and Lammi in Helsinki, Finland.
Soprano Hanna Lammi has studied in Finland and at the Stockholm Operastudio. She has specialized in Scandinavian song repertoire.
The pianist Tuuli Lempa has a special interest for contemporary classical music and studies at the moment in Stavanger, Norway with professori Håkon Austbø.
